Gates of  baba kedarnath dham is opened to the visitors on 10th man to the devotees and visitors. It sets to reopen after six months on Friday. Holding a deep spiritual significance for Hindus, the char Dham yar spans from  April-May to October-November

After heavy snowfall during the winter, people are eagerly waiting for darshan of Kedarnath Dham. During the opening ceremony a large number of devotees will gather in Gaurikund or other places while trekking toward the shrine. Advance booking rides on horses or mules have been made. 

According to the president of Badrinath-kedarnath temple committee the temple has been adorned with 40 quintals of flowers. During all this, Lord Kedarnath’s Panchmukhi Doli started its journey from Gauramai temple in Gaurikund toward Kedarnath Dham. The Devdoli, which departed from Shri Vishwanath Temple Guptkashi, reached its second stop at Phata on May 7.

According to the Badrinath-Kedarnath temple Committee, the char Dham yatra will commence on May 10 with the opening of gates of Kedarnath, Yamunotri and Gangotri shrines. The Badrinath Dham will open on May 12.
