An interesting battle has come up in the Himalayan state of Himachal Pradesh. In the Lok Sabha election of 2024, Kangana Ranaut is up against Vikramaditya Singh of the Congress. Trying to cement a place in politics, she has gotten a ticket from the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party). Though everybody knows about Kangana Ranaut, not much is known about Vikramaditya Singh in the national arena.

Who is Vikram aditya singh?
He is the royal heir of the former Rampur Bushahr princely state and the son of six-time former Himachal Pradesh chief minister Virbhadra Singh from Congress. Pratibha Singh is the mother of Vikramaditya Singh and holds the seat of Mandi. His father, Virbhadra Singh, had served four times as CM of Himachal Pradesh.
Mandi Lok Sabha constituency
Mandi, situated in the heart of Himachal, comprises 17 assembly segments that are mainly contested between BJP and Congress as the main parties. Currently, the seat is held by Pratibha singh, who had won in the 2021 by-election after the death of Ram Swarov. In the Lok sabha election of 2014 and 2019, the seat was held by Ram Swaroop sharma of BJP, who won by a margin of 405,459 votes and 39,856 votes, respectively
Himachal pradesh election
BjP won all four seats in the 2019 Lok sabha elections but lost Mandi seat to Pratibha singh in the 2021 by-election. The seat, which now kangana Ranaut will contest with Vikram aditya Singh,. The polling for these seats will be held on June 1, 2024.
